I'm now re-thinking about this project proposal, and it appears that it would be ''so'' good to have a way of interpreting a piece of code hosted on agora directly from octave. Definitly, if I was selected for this project, I would try to figure out a way to do that. I would also take a closer look at possible security issues...

No, no... i'm not talking about Apple here. I just think that some kind of Octave Notebook would be great (as is iPython Notebook) and I would like to integrate Octave in iPythonNotebook. I would also try to make the notebook to work with python and Octave at the same time (on different cells). This project is more an idea than anything else but I'm open to discussion :)
