***I chose the project "Improve logm, sqrtm and funm" [http://wiki.octave.org/Summer_of_Code_Project_Ideas#Improve_logm.2C_sqrtm.2C_funm]. I'd like to focus on the algorithmic part where we would discuss the inefficiencies involved in the current implementation and come up with new efficient ways to complete the task. I'm reading about different methods / Algorithms involved in Matrix exponential functions. After that, I'd shift to implementation of the required functions.
