I am Asma Afzal, currently a first year PhD student (Electrical Engineering) at the University of Leeds,UK.

My research is based on stochastic modeling of wireless networks, which requires a deep understanding of mathematics.

I would like to join the open source community and GSoC provides the ideal platform to kick start my journey. This will be my very first formal exposure to the open source world. The AES-128 implementation on the Programmable System on Chip (PSoC) by Cypress Semiconductor.
AES had not been implemented on this particular hardware platform and I was tasked with implementing it.

My role in the project was relevant to the development and testing of the encryption module.
