== Parallel Package under Windows unusable and will probably continue so ... (?) ==
Dear all,
I wonder why this information is so difficult to find and why it is not prominently written on the project page:
The parallel package seems to NOT run under Windows due to lack of some system components.
Took the information from these links:
and
[https://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/?41148]
Also while I do not exactly got the content of the postings, things look like
* parallel does actually not work under windows and
* regrettably will also not work under windows
Please correct me if I got it wrong.
It is really a pity that Octave cannot use multiple cores under windows .....
Any positive perspective for near future?
Cheers
